knol: Google's Alternative zur Wikipedia

Seit 23.
"A knol is an authoritative article about a specific topic."
Do you knol? :-)

teflclips, a site dedicated to the possibilities for YouTube

Welcome to teflclips, a site dedicated to the possibilities for YouTube and other video sharing sites in the classroom. Every week a new lesson plan will be uploaded.
http://www.teflclips.com

Nik Peachey's Gastbeitrag: Social Networks and the Web 2.0 revolution

Learning technology consultant, trainer, writer and instructional designer Nik Peachey was good enough to create this Camtasia Studio Recording as a guest-blogging contribution to Fremdsprachen und Neue Medien. Another highlight with more to come :o)
Thank you, Nick, we appreciate!

Nik Peachey stellt tokbox vor: Video conferencing for EFL

Foto: Flickr.com
O-Ton Nik: "It's not often that you look at a product and think 'Ah! That's exactly what I've been looking for! And it's free!' But tokbox does seem to be that kind of product for me.
For some time now I've been looking round for a suitable video conferencing type application and while there have been a few that look okay, like SnapYap which I reviewed a week or two back, when I saw tokbox this morning I realised that here was a video conferencing tool that had exactly what I wanted and a bit more.

Nachahmenswertes Wiki-Projekt: a conversation across the Atlantic.

Forces that shape our planet... a conversation across the Atlantic.
The purpose of this project is to have teenagers from different locations around the globe exchange their thoughts and perceptions of what their lives are like. They will gain a greater perception of the similarities and differences of people's lives around the world. In this project teenagers will explore issues, and work intensely to gain a clearer understanding of concerns that people have in the world.

Mélanies Schüler kollaborieren mit denen de Partnerschule Upper Merion Area High School (King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA)

Teacher Training Videos from The British Council

http://teachingenglish.org.uk/transform/teachers/training/training-video
http://quickshout.blogspot.com
Niks Erläuterung: "ELT classroom videos
Videos of teacher working in the ELT classroom is pretty difficult to come by, so this makes this series of videos from the British Council that much more valuable.
As you can see from this example the videos have footage from the real practicing teachers accompanied by expert commentary. This is useful stuff for anyone involved in teacher training."
